One of the most famous legends about Santa Claus is the story of three poor girls who had no dowry and were unable to get married. The father planned to sell the girls as servants to the rich men. Understanding the misfortune of the three girls, one night, St. Nicholas silently placed in each window of their house a bag of gold coins in dry socks or in shoes. From there, the story of Santa's gift was started.
